It was a big day in our home today.... one that will never be forgotten!!!! Cameron took his permit test and PASSED!!!!! To be honest, I was a little weary he wasn't going to pass. I had not seen him study very much since we printed the study guide off. Basically, I didn't feel like he was taking it very seriously... Boy did he prove me wrong!!!! I am proud of him. What do good parents do the first day with the permit? We put him on the freeway and let him drive :)

While setting up and getting ready for the Spring Concert these two kept us entertained!!! Love how they talked to each other through the walkie talkies while sitting right next to each other. Other than having lots of fun, they actually worked hard!!!
Our girls' had a Spring Concert this past weekend. It was a wonderful day and night, even with the record breaking heat.

Today my Grandma Tessendorf would be 78 yrs old. Last year we celebrated over Olive Garden lunch brought into Denise's house. Grandma loved the Olive Garden :)

Grandma T was one of the sweetest Grandma's. She was an example to me in so many ways. We would talk on the phone for hours and laugh. I would explain to her what I happened to be going through at the time and without fail she at some point in her life had a similar experience. Grandma was a great support to my family. Always willing to help where she could.

Grandma introduced the homemade German Chocolate Cake that has now become a favorite in our family. There is a little work involved with making it, so I don't make it for fun. Usually for Marc's birthday and anyone else who requests it as well.

When Kaelyn was born, she LOVED to cry. Marc worked a couple jobs then and had to get to bed early so he could get up early. Grandma knew I struggled with watching Cameron while trying to keep Kaelyn quiet. A few nights a week, I would find myself over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa would take Cameron on walks around their home to try and help wear him out, while Grandma would hold Kaelyn and try to help soothe her.

Grandma and Grandpa were usually the first ones to show up to birthday parties, sporting events, whatever my kids had going on.

Grandma, thank you for being such a great example to me!!!! You taught me so many wonderful things. I think of you often and miss you just as often. I love the memories my kids have of you. We find ourselves talking about you and Grandpa all the time. Not many kids get a chance to know their great=grandparents the way mine did. Thank you!!! Thank you for always wanting to be apart of our lives. We love you!!!!!!

One day last month, during the kids Spring Break, we had some visitors! I can give you a list of friends and/or family I would love to have come visit us. These little things, were NOT on my list!!!!

In the afternoon, the kids went to Sonic for their Happy Hour. Marc and I were both working from home and the kids needed out of the house; or was it "we" needed them out of the house. Anyway, it was a beautiful day so we had our front door open. We knew the kids were back because you could hear them outside. I wasn't paying attention to what was being said, but Marc asked why Cameron was getting so upset. My first thought, someone must have messed with his food or drink he brought home. You DON'T ever mess with his food or drink!!!

We quickly discovered what Cameron was upset about!!!! Above is what Marc found when we went outside. We tried calling the fire department. They won't come out and take care of them unless they are attacking. We found a bee company that came out within an hour or so...

I hope next Spring Break we have visitors I am happy to see!

Every year Canyon Rim (kids elementary school) holds a little carnival they call the Cougarnival. Every year I dread going..isn't that awful. Here is how it usually goes down... everyone is excited to get there and see their friends and run around. As the kids have gotten older, they slowly stop needing me to be the one to entertain and walk around with them. This year was no exception to that either. Ellie has now graduated to this... the minute we walked through the gate, she had found a friend and was gone. This leaves Emersyn with me. I can be a lot of fun, but the cougarnival...NOT SO MUCH!

Emersyn had been talking about this Cougarnival for at least a week. She was so excited to go because she had won an "unlimited ride wristband". Back in Oct the school did a fundraiser and I guess she sold the most in her class awarding her this wristband. The problem is...she is too overwhelmed and doesn't know what to go on. The "unlimited wristband" turned into about 4 rides :)

Kaelyn and her friends were such troopers!! I guess it's the "thing" after you graduate Canyon Rim. You want to go back!! Kaelyn and some of her friends were there and were kind enough to hang out with Emersyn and I. Sometimes the lines were so long, I would stand and wait while they took her somewhere else. In the end, we found Ellie :)

Next year, we are headed to Peter Piper or just staying home!!!!
