Whose Taller..?

Well, we have come to the day that I have often thought of. Cameron is now taller than his mom!!!! He takes pride in the fact that now he is taller. For the past few months we have been doing the measuring, sometimes on a daily basis. Within the last month or so my fears and Cameron's dreams have come true.

This is a very bitter/sweet moment for me. Although, I am not very tall and knew this day would come, I still can't believe that is has arrived. To me, this only means one thing..... my kids are getting older which in turn means that I am getting older. If only I could help him realize that just because he is taller doesn't mean that he is wiser too.

If Only You Were An Indian.....

Emersyn is our child who looks the least like a Native American, but she loves the fact that she is a Native American. So, last Friday night we went and got pizza from Hungry Howies (pretty good $5 pizza). Naturally, when we picked up the pizza boxes they were a little warm. Emersyn asked me if I thought they were hot. My response was, "Yes, they are a little hot." "Well," Emersyn says, "You should be an Indian. If you were an Indian these pizza boxes would not feel very hot." I had to laugh!!!

A few months ago we had our kids out at a restaurant. There was a candle on the table. For entertainment we would try and pick up the candle. Marc made the comment that if you have Indian blood then you can touch anything that is hot and it won't hurt. I played into it and pretended the candle was super hot. To this day Emersyn still thinks this.

Emersyn is such a cute little girl. Very clever too I might add :)

Art Masterpiece

I love the way Emersyn draws. She has such an imagination :) The detail to her pictures amazes me. While we were on the plane traveling to Washington DC Emersyn drew and colored this picture of her mom and dad. Her drawings are so simple but so cute. I loved this picture, it really hit a special place in my heart.

We are so excited she was chosen to have a piece of her artwork hang in a local furniture store to be displayed. I guess I am not the only one who thinks her artwork is award winning.

Cameron's Dreaming

While walking around we came across this Porsche. Someday Cameron, someday.....

Washington Monument Fun

The kids thought it was fun taking pictures like this. The funny thing is.. as we walked around you would a lot of people posing trying to do this same exact thing. The bottom picture was all Kaelyn. She laid down on a bench at the bottom of the monument and put her finger on the tip. Very impressive!!!
