Happy Birthday Cameron....YOUR 13!!!!!

Cameron will probably not be happy about me posting this picture, but in writing about Cameron today on his birthday this helps sum him up. Cameron is a very kind your man. He is good at taking a boring situation (as standing in line at Disneyland) and makes a good time. I think here he had put a couple Pringles in his mouth to make it look like a duck's beak. I can hardly believe that today he is turning 13. It doesn't seem like 13 years ago we were at the hospital, filled with joy welcoming our first child into this crazy world. For the past I don't know how many years the birthday fairy has come to visit the kids the night before their birthday. The birthday fairy has to stop coming sometime so we said when they become teenagers. Last night Marc and I decided to make 13 different signs to post around his room while he slept. We love you Cameron!!! Thanks for an entertaining 13 years so far and we look forward to many more :)

U2 & Black Eye Peas

U2 is Marcs all time favorite band. When Marc heard their tour was coming through Phoenix he was so excited. He wanted this concert to be Cameron and Kaelyn first concert. With a little hesitation we finally got them to consent to attend with us. We had bought general admission tickets so we knew we were going to be somewhere on the floor. It took us 2 hours to get out to the stadium in Glendale getting us there right as Black Eye Peas were to take the stage. Of course, Cameron was hungry so Marc and Cameron set out to find the pizza guy. While they were gone Kaelyn and I stood waiting for the concert to begin. A security guard came up to us and asked if we wanted to get into the inner circle. We couldn't say no. Quickly, Kaelyn and I followed the security guard while looking for Marc and Cameron. After finding them we took our place right at the stage just as Black Eye Peas were starting. It was the best concert with the best seats (standing seats) in the house. To think back on it feels almost like a dream. If we were dreaming, please don't pinch us and wake us up :)

Must Be Love

Had to post this simply because I LOVE it!!!

Disneyland Treat

Our family has a tradition when we go to Disneyland. The first ride we ride on is Pirates of the Carribean, then head to the Haunted Mansion. When we are done there we go over to Splash Mountain. Next to Splash Mountain is a little store that always has yummy treats. Usually they have the largest chocolate covered strawberries I have ever seen. This year the strawberries were out of season for them... BUT look what I found!!!! Isn't it the cutest caramel apple you have ever seen? Leave it to Disneyland to think of things like this. It is an apple with chocolate covered marshmallows for the ears. Surprisingly we were able to keep this apple all intact until we got home. It was the best caramel apple we have ever had :)

Fall Break

Back on Labor Day weekend Cameron broke his wrist. There was no practicing football for him so we decided it was time to visit the "Happiest Place On Earth". We left Sat after football games and returned Friday evening to get ready for football games. I am dying to post some of our pictures but here's the problem... Marc took over 1,000 of them. It is going to take me a little time to go through them and find the ones I love.

Half day fun

I remember being a little girl and always wanting to have the "fancy" nails. What a succor am I? We came across some nails that the girls just had to have. They were were excited :)

Crazy hair day...

Every year at school there is a day for students to wear their hair "crazy". I dread this day every year being that I am not that creative and never know what to do. Ellie was set on doing it this year. I really wish she would have let me take a picture of her. She wore rollers in her hair. It turned out really cute. Kaelyn took the simple route. She had bought some colored strips she could clip in her hair. Emersyn...no way :) I walked into her class and saw Mrs. Cummard. Love it!!!! Doesn't her hair look like it could be cotton candy sitting on the top of her head? Yum...now where can I get some?

Hobby Fair

The 6th graders at Canyon Rim held a hobby fair at school yesterday. Kaelyn's hobby is music. This is very fitting for her. She has many talents but music is one that I am amazed at. She can sit down and teach herself songs on the piano. I know what you are thinking.. Why isn't she taking lessons? Well, Kaelyn was given the choice at the beginning of school. Kaelyn had already committed to ballet and with the schedule we have there simply isn't time to participate in everything. So, she could either do piano or softball. For now, Kaelyn has chosen softball. We are hoping we can find a piano teacher and have her start sometime in Jan.
