End of Season

My kids have awesome family support!!!! It is so wonderful to see grandparents and great-grandparents come out to support my kids in their different activities!!! Thank you for always being so supportive. I know it is not always the most convenient, but you have never let any of us down!!

Last Pop Warner game

Well, for the past 8 years from August to November our family would spend much of our free time either at football practice or football games. This was Cameron's last year of playing football for Pop Warner. Next year, we are moving on to bigger and better things. Well, we hope it is better..... some say high school football is better while others say high school football is harder when it comes to the political side of things.
I know lately I have posted alot about Cameron and ending his Pop Warner football career.... This is one of those steps I often thought about while we were sitting out in 100+ weather on a Sat. Thought about it....but couldn't imagine the time actually coming.

IT CAME!!!!!

We will now be occupied on Wed evenings sitting on the bleachers attending the Desert Ridge Freshman football games. Although, we are excited for the change, we are also a little nervous about all the changes!!!! Let the fun begin!!!!

Trying to Catch Up

Our family has been so busy. I just haven't had time to update our blog. I am, however, trying to force myself to sit down and make the updates. We are all doing well.

Cameron is finished with football for the season.
Ellie is finishing up cheer. She should be done in the next couple of weeks,
Kaelyn is still taking ballet 3 nights a week and attending Nutcracker practice on Saturdays.
Emersyn is also taking ballet 2 nights a week. She is also attending Nutcracker practice on Saturdays.

If only there could be a few more hours in a day :)

He's 14 - Oct 28, 1996

Cameron turned 14 last week. It's hard to believe that he is now 14 and will be entering high school next year. Thought I would share some stories that we laugh about often around our house.

When Cameron was a young boy and we would go out to eat he would always order a "boy cheese". Oh, the looks we got from the waitresses.... all looks of wonderment. We would have to clarify he wanted a grill cheese sandwich. Cameron always thought we were saying a "girl cheese" and there wasn't any way he was going to eat a "girl cheese", nope he wanted a "boy cheese".

We always laugh about the time he played t-ball. I believe he was about 4 yrs old or so. Cameron would stay in the outfield, but he wasn't looking for the ball that "could" be hit to him at any moment. (Can boys 4 yrs old really hit a ball into the outfield?) No, Cameron would bend over and see what bugs he could find crawling around in the grass. We even have a picture of this.... I should try and find it among the many pictures we have on our computer.

Cameron we hope you had a great birthday. California Pizza Kitchen is where we celebrated for dinner!!!!! We did come home and sing "Happy Birthday" to him again with his cake he wanted.

Banner Time

We all know it's the cheerleaders who make the posters for the football players to run through after half-time is over. Well, you "think" it's the cheerleaders, but (I hope I don't ruin this for anyone) it's NOT!!!!! Nope..... not one cheerleader has been involved with making these awesome banners the Bengals have been enjoying all season. One of the cheerleader's dad is the one who has been making these banners. Oh, how I wish I had pictures of all of them throughout the season. He has done an awesome job!!!!!

This wonderful dad on our team decided to take a vacation during the season. (I know, how could he leave us high and dry without a banner) Ellie's awesome dad volunteered. Or maybe it was Ellie who volunteered her awesome dad. I forget how it all went down. Anyway, Marc was the one who made this awesome banner for the Bengals to enjoy.

This banner took most of a night. It had been a very busy day/week at our house, so maybe that is why it took so long to get it done. However, the outcome was tremendous!!!! Marc rocks the house!!!!!

Cardinals/Saints

Cameron's favorite team in professional football is the Saints. He loved the Saints when they were bad and REALLY LOVED the Saints when they won the Super Bowl last year.

Marc found out the Saints were coming to town to play the Cardinals. The good parents we are... we could not let this opportunity pass without trying to get tickets. Marc was successful on finding tickets ( a big thank you Jon ). Last year for Christmas Cameron got some white Saints shoes. He has not and doesn't ever plan on wearing these shoes. He will pick them up and look at them, but still to this day these shoes are brand new. I told Cameron he could go to the game, but he needed to take these shoes and try to get the autographed. I wish this story had a better ending. He did not get them autographed. As a matter of fact, he missed Drew Brees by just a couple feet.

When the Cardinals and Saints play our house is very divided. Most everyone in the family cheers for the Saints. (Cameron has a lot of influence in our family) Marc cheers for the Cardinals. I try to stay in the neutral zone. Even though the Saints lost to the Cardinals this particular game. Cameron was a very happy boy getting to see Drew Brees play in person. We will hope for another opportunity to see them play again.

Crazy Hair Day

A couple weeks ago Canyon Rim hosted a Crazy Hair Day. Our kids in the past hadn't ever really been interested in participating in this. Ellie was excited and wanted to do something. She knew for sure she wanted to color her hair 2 different colors. We decided to make little flipped pony tails all over her head. It turned out really good.

I think Ellie was happy with the way it turned out. She is definitely our CRAZY child which makes this hair style very fitting for her :)
